We are delighted to highlight the 10th-anniversary fundraising concert in aid of our vital charity partner Pathway, so essential to the operation of our Homeless services. Please give them your support:
"Dear friends, family, everyone,
This is to share with you details of an amazing fundraising concert being given in aid of Pathway. The concert would have coincided with the 10th anniversary of our foundation as a homeless health charity, but like so much originally planned for 2020, was postponed because of the pandemic. Our partners, the World Doctors Orchestra, offer these concerts as a thank you and celebration of the dedication and compassion of NHS staff over the last year and a half, and they have chosen Pathway as the sole beneficiary charity. The World Doctors Orchestra and their sponsors meet all the production costs, so every ticket sold directly supports Pathway’s work. The medical musicians give their time for free. They pay for their own travel from around the world, accommodation, rehearsal rooms etc. All they ask is that we provide the audience. As you probably know, Pathway is a tiny charity and we have been working flat out during the pandemic. We don’t have a fundraising or events team so I am asking everyone I know to buy tickets (and don’t come alone - bring lots of people) and, please, to share details of the concert across your own networks. We have 1600 seats to fill by the end of September! The programme includes world-famous solo percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, a piece involving 3 vacuum cleaners and a floor polisher, Elgar’s Enigma Variations, and a work by my great, great uncle, Sir Arnold Bax. Surely unmissable!
