A Successful Infection Prevention and Control Inspection

A healthcare assistant traveses a spotless hospital corridor. The slogan reads: ensuring excellence in care through cleanliness and safety

We are pleased to report that Mildmay Hospital recently underwent an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) inspection by Barts Health, and the feedback was extremely positive.

This thorough inspection evaluated a range of departments, from the gym to catering, laundry, and patient wards. We are proud to report that all areas, including our communal spaces, treatment rooms, and catering department, were assessed as “excellent” or “perfect.”

Special thanks go to our Infection Prevention and Control team, led by George and the Estates & Facilities team, along with our IPC link nurses, Olfa and Maritha, and student Nazia, for their hard work in preparing for the inspection. Their dedication, alongside the efforts of our nursing staff and our other teams, helped us achieve these exceptionally high standards.

While the inspection was a great success, we are always striving to improve, and we’ll continue working hard to maintain these high standards of care and hygiene.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and caring environment for our patients remains our top priority, and we are grateful to all staff members for their commitment to upholding these standards.
