Cardinal Vincent Nichols reaffirms his support for Mildmay

Updated: Feb 9

Cardinal Vincent Nichols

His Eminence, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, visited Mildmay Hospital in 2017 to learn about our work and to meet patients and staff, and we wrote about it here.

Recently, our Chaplain, Sister Bernie, wrote to him to apprise him of how the hospital was fairing during the COVID-19 pandemic and we were delighted when he wrote back to offer his thanks and support once again.

"Thank you very much for your kind letter of 29th May. I am glad that your situation in Mildmay has improved a bit even though it is a little insecure at this time. I would like to thank everybody concerned with Mildmay for the great efforts that have been made to work alongside so many others during this pandemic. Please be sure of my prayers for you all and please do keep me in yours.
With every good wish, Yours sincerely
HE Cardinal Vincent Nichols Archbishop of Westminster"

Cardinal Nichols' kind words serve as a reminder to us of how valued and loved Mildmay is by so many of the diverse but interconnected communities of London and beyond.
