This International Women's Day, the theme of "Inspire Inclusion" resonates deeply at Mildmay Mission Hospital. We recognise the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality and fostering a world where all women can thrive.
At Mildmay, we have a long and proud history of pioneering healthcare and championing the rights of marginalised communities. From being one of the first institutions to train nurses, our groundbreaking work with HIV/AIDS in the 1980s and 90s, which recently led to the honouring of the hospital's work through the naming of the London Overground Mildmay line, to our ongoing commitment to serving communities in need around the globe, we understand the power of diversity and inclusion.
This year, we are celebrating the incredible women who have made invaluable contributions to Mildmay's story - including recently calling on our former staff to share their experiences with us.
We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals, regardless of gender or background, feel valued, empowered, and heard. This International Women's Day, we are committed to:
Amplifying the voices of women in our hospital, including nurses, doctors, and support staff.
Promoting diversity in leadership and decision-making roles.
Providing opportunities for women to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
challenging stereotypes and promoting gender equality.
Together, we can inspire inclusion and build a world where women from all walks of life can reach their full potential and contribute their unique talents to make a positive impact on the world.
Share your story: We invite our former and current nurses to share their experiences at Mildmay by emailing info@mildmay.org. Your stories will be a powerful testament to the inspiration and inclusion we aim to foster at Mildmay Mission Hospital.
