Every year, Mildmay hospital has many patients who are unable to go home for Christmas. This year, not only are we caring for vulnerable patients with HIV, but also people who are homeless or rough sleeping – some of them are also recovering from COVID-19.To bring a little light into the lives of our patients this Christmas, we would like to give them Christmas presents; modest gifts and treats like toiletries or nice things to eat…Find out more

Please mark your donation: ‘Christmas Appeal 2020’

Our social workers, Beverley and Isobel know our patients well and can determine what is needed most and go out and buy it. In this way, everybody will get a little something nice that is also meaningful. Anything left over will go towards the hospital’s Hardship Fund to help our patients get back on their feet once discharged.

Why donate?

“Because I like to give to little-known good causes at Christmas and it’s very worthwhile “Anonymous

“Because I would like to bring someone a bit of happiness, particularly at Christmas, and particularly this Christmas, after a very difficult year. I would be happy to send cards, or something a bit less impersonal, but leave that up to you.”Anne

“It is great to now that you are doing such kind things and the people will have hampers to take home and receive a gift.”Jennifer

“It is good to be able to give a present to somebody who may not otherwise get one. Thank you for all you do.”Margaret

In the UK, state funding only provides about 80% of what Mildmay needs to run our hospital. In Africa, the work we do is funded entirely by charitable donations.

If you would like to make a regular donation to Mildmay, you can find out all you need to know on ourDonatepage.

We wish you a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and safe New Year.

Donations for the Christmas fund will be used for the purchase of presents and useful items for our patients. Mildmay Mission Hospital needs to raise funds for Presents for Patients and for other charitable purposes.

*Fundraising, payments and donations will be processed and administered by the National Funding Scheme, operating as DONATE, a charity registered in England and Wales (1149800) and Scotland (SC045106). In addition to any text donation, you will incur your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates).
